Relationship Between Solar Energy and Renewable Energy Resources

Currently, a huge percentage of industries utilize renewable energy resources. Among the various options available, solar energy is one of the most popular and organic sources of energy. The process of nuclear fusion that occurs in the sun causes solar energy. This happens after the protons present in the hydrogen atoms collide harshly against the core of the sun. Then, it fuses to form helium atoms. In the scientific sense, this process is called the photo-proton (PP) chain reaction and releases a huge energy amount at this time.

Typically, hydrogen, specifically 620 million metric tons of it, fuse inside the sun’s core each second. This chain reaction ensures continued heat and energy in this star and rises to 4 million degrees Kelvin/7 million degrees Fahrenheit.

To note, the CNO cycle can create energy as well and is responsible for about 2% or less of total solar energy. Here, the cycle is useful for converting hydrogen atoms into helium atoms, utilizing carbon, nitrogen, as well as oxygen

  4. Improves job opportunities and revenue – A non-conventional benefit of using a solar energy system or its alternatives like wind energy is the potential for growth opportunities. Renewable energy sources like sun or wind are available anywhere globally. Hence, there is no need for spending high amounts on energy imports.

Local employment rates multiply as well and companies benefit from this investment. Statistically, more than 250,000 U.S. citizens gained employment in the solar industry in 2019.

5. Competitive resources in the market  – Most renewable energy resources like PV panels and windmills are less costly to construct, monitor, utilize, and repair. Many companies globally are opting for these resources for their energy conversion needs.
